Sample Share: Johnsonville's fully cooked breakfast sausage

I've got a few more sample shares to talk about before the month runs out! :) Up next: Johnsonville's fully cooked breakfast sausage. Crowdtap sent me a coupon to try it for free. The only local place (read: northeastern Connecticut for those stumbling across this blog!) is stop & shop. It's located in the meat department. I found it by the counter, as opposed to where the rest of the sausage is. I had to try the Vermont maple syrup variety, being the proud New Englander that I am.

Much like the packages leads you to believe, it was super easy to cook! I'm not a huge microwave fan, so I went the skillet route. It heats up on a skillet for 8-10 minutes (8 minutes was perfect for us). We decided to go for a breakfast-for-dinner night and served the sausage with scrambled eggs and yogurt. The sausage was perfectly cooked (none of those random cold spots I've experienced with other brand) and there was little to no gristle in the links. The maple flavor was subtle and very good (according to the package, flavored with real maple. Sure-fire brownies points from me!). My kiddos loved them (my oldest is obsessed! He bribed the two year old to share so he could have more!).  Overall, a really good product that I would definitely buy again. Keep scrolling for some photos of the finished product, as well as my kiddos digging in!

Influenster wellness voxbox

I recently got the chance to receive the wellness vox box from influenster. It had a few different full sized products to try. I really enjoyed this box, and wanted to share the products with my readers! Some of these products are ones I never would have bought until I tried them. Now, I'll be hunting for some good deals to keep these products in my stash!

my vox box products!

There are two items in the box I did not get to try out yet-the sample size of attitude dish soap (way excited to open that up! I loved the shampoo!) and the yaye app (I have zero storage on my phone for new apps!). So the focus of this blog will be on the product I tried and loved: urgent rx fast powder, olay active botanicals cleansing gel, attitude shampoo, Colgate enamel health mouth wash, and Jergens wet skin moisturizer.  Make sure you scroll down to the bottom, I've got a few videos to share! ;)

urgent RX fast powder
The first product I tried was urgentRx's fast powder. (check out their site here for a bogo coupon!) You rip open the package and swallow the powder. That idea was a bit funky to me, so I put it in some water to swallow it easier. The result was alka-seltzer like (you know, after the tablet dissolves!). One really neat thing is this stuff tastes really good. I usually have a hard time with powder and liquid meds/pain killers because of the taste. Not the case here. At it worked really quickly as the name suggests. I took it for a pretty bad toothache. It was gone a few minutes later. It lasts about the same as Tylenol or aspirin for me.

olay active botanicals cleansing gel

This was one of my favorites. I'm not a fan of face stuff, as it usually leaves my face feeling dry. This stuff, however, did not. I left the shower feeling clean and refreshed. It lathered up nicely, which is one of my favorite things about body/face washes. I ended up losing half of this product to family members using the same shower (my husband denies it, but my money is on him! ;)). Check out their site for more info here!

attitude worry-free ingredient shampoo
One of the most interesting things about this shampoo is that it smells clean. It left my hair feeling clean and lighter. I'll need some serious coupons to keep it on hand--it's got a $9.99 price tag. If you're really into the worry-free ingredient thing, it will be worth it. With 6 people in our house hold, it's a tad out of our price range to consistently buy it. I did love it for the few weeks it lasted in my shower!

colgate enamel health mouth wash
I've tried a lot of mouth washes in my thirty years. People love to give the out: the dentist, schools, target (with a good group of coupons, of course!)...this one is by far my favorite. I love it so much that I would actually pay full shelf price for it when this bottle runs out. This mouthwash has a nice minty taste, with out the burn most mouthwashes have. I can keep it in my mouth for the full minute with out thinking I may possibly spit it out every where if the minute doesn't quickly pass. My mouth felt fresh (my husband wasn't around to confirm, so you'll have to trust me on that one!) and clean. The bad teeth I inherited appreciate the enamel health benefits. More info on the enamel health line here!

jergens wet skin moisturizer
This product was pretty neat (you can see a video review below). The idea behind this moisturizer is that it saves you time and locks in extra moisture because you apply it while your skin is still wet (#ApplyBeforeYouDry). It smells amazing (a sure fire way to get me into a product!) and does a great job at making your skin nice and moisturized. I actually tried this on dry skin too, just to see. It worked well as a normal moisturizer too. It's made with something fancy called Monoi oil (according to google, it's a blend of coconut oil and flowers, hence the amazing smell) which accounts for how well it moisturizes--coconut oil is literally my favorite thing.

Overall, a great vox box with some neat products. Keep scrolling for those promised videos! ;)

sample share: Freschetta pizza

This month, I got to try a few different items from BzzAgent. My favorite so far is Freschetta pizza! I've always been loyal to DiGiorno. It's the only frozen pizza I've bought that I actually liked. I'm happy to say that I now have options! I've been let down too many times to ever actually buy this pizza, so trying it for free was the perfect introduction to it. We picked out the four cheese rising crust (and thanks to an Ibotta rebate of $1.25 back on two, I'm about to try the Canadian bacon and pineapple version! It legit looks amazing!). I loved everything about this pizza. The cheese was tasty and had a good ratio. The crust was really good (crust you can't eat is a deal breaker for me!). I ate three pieces (my normal is 1-2 pieces) and I bought another pizza less than a week after trying it for free. At under $6 at walmart, it's an okay deal-I prefer to spend less than $5 on a frozen pizza since that is little ceasers price already cooked, but if I'm not feeling the travel, want something other than cheese, or I have coupons or Ibotta rebates, I would happily pick the frozen up. It cooked correctly according to the box instructions (it's very annoying to follow the directions and end up with a half cooked pizza). The cute pizza cutter than bzzagent included with the pizza coupon is most definitely the best pizza cutter in the world. It works perfect and I'm really happy they included it! Check out my photos below to see our Freschetta experience.

sample share: folgers flavor enhancers

Been awhile since I've gotten to share a sample share! This month's sample share, courtesy of crowdtap: folgers flavors coffee enhancers! I'll be focusing on mocha and vanilla, since my package got delivered a bit late. Here's the shipment:

they were generous with the samples :)
I had time to bring a few to work, as well as drop them off to a few friends and family. I received comments that they smelled good (which they really do! yum!). As for my experience:

Mocha at work!
I tried mocha first, since i drink mocha coffee daily. I mixed it into my iced coffee. I honestly didn't care too much for the mocha flavor. It smelled a bit funky and not so mocha-y. The taste was a bit off too. It may be because mocha for me is usually chocolate syrup, so that may be a factor for me? My next try was much more pleasant:

The vanilla was very good. The flavor (and smell!) were very pleasant, and it was a tad sweet with out being over bearing (I don't like my coffee to be too sweet!). of course, much like water flavor enhancers, you can add a bigger squeeze if you prefer a sweeter drink. Overall, I would buy the vanilla again (I'll update you on the caramel and hazel nut once I crack them open!) and it's a decent buy at just under $4 at amazon as well as walmart.
